Default Poly mounts

Are the poly mounts REALLY better, I have the trans poly mount and get some vibration I did not used to have, its not that bad but I can feel it, I am trying to install catalytic converters to my Bassani but dont have much space up front between the 2.5" pipe and the car underside and since the cam the engine loops more than it used to, would the poly engine mounts solve this or will I pick up more vibration from these like the tranny mount?, and if its a good idea which are the best?

I installed poly motor mounts on my car with the poly trans mount. I didn't like all the vibrations I got so I put a rubber trans mount on and the car felt like stock again.

Poly motor mounts took all the left to right rocking motion out of my engine its a very nice setup. time consuming job though.

My Prothan mount on my Trans was ridiculously loud when I originally put it in. In the process of buying a new "stock" Trans mount the vibration went away for the most part. Now I'm stuck with a $75 stock mount for a paper weight When I put the Prothane motor mounts in I had no extra vibrations or any negative side-effects from it. Hope this helps

Minor vibrations on my car with both the tranny and motor poly mounts. Doesnt bother me any....

Sorry to wake up an old thread. I have poly mounts on my SS that where installed on the car when I bought it. They have been on the car for about 2k miles, but haven't settled much to get rid of the vibrations.
Previous owner gave me the stock ones and they look in good condtion. The car also has subframe connectors, so the body is rigid. The car has LT headers, so I am thinking they might torque and hit the floor or might not? Your opinions please.

I have a poly mount for one reason: if i dont the stock one tears apart sooner or later. this has happened to me in an L98, LT1 and LS1 all stock cars. i do like to floor it. my guess is if your changing it to begin with it's probably cuz it broke. and if thats the case it will probably brake again.
