Will A/T fluid hurt..
Will A/T fluid hurt.. .. oxygen sensors? I had a transmission cooler line split the other night and it sprayed all over the pass side O2 and engine bay. The next day I got a code P1415 for smog pump bad and P1133 which is Bank 2 sensor 1 bad. I took off the smog pump and it was all wet with fluid, cleaned it and now it works fine. I can't get rid of the O2 sensor code though, and it only has around 500 miles on it, BRAND NEW dammit. Anyone know if it can be contaminated by tranny fluid?

Yes, they will destroy them fast. My tranny guy rebuilt my tranny and forgot something in there, he started the engine and tranny fluid was going through my engine and the amazing amount of smoke from the burning tranny fluid coming out of my exhaust pipes was incredible. He put it back on the lift and fixed the modulator or whatever it was that was causing the fluid to go through my engine.
But both my 02 sensors were completely destroyed after just running the engine for about 4 minutes. I had to get new ones.
