Good Jack Stands
Good Jack Stands Can anyone reccomend some good solid jack stands that work well with my Ws6. It seems like every place I go here they all sell junk that I dont trust!! Also any good jack reccomendations??

Get some that are rated like twice as much as you need (for safety). I have a set from craftsman real cheap. I think they are 3 tons per pair. There's one design flaw with mine. The teeth on the rod form right angles. You want the teeth to curve out like a sabretooth because when it locks in, the weight of the vehicle keeps it from wedges it in. If my vehicle were on my stands, I could kick the lever on my stands and they'd probably give because its only static friction keeping them in place. I'd stick with the 3 or 6 ton jacks from Harbor Freight because they have the sabertooth design I mentioned. Make sure the stands you buy are the right height.
I'm almost done building a set of ramps. I'm using 2x10's in a step pattern to raise the front end 11 inches. I'll post some pics in a day or two. I'm building the ramps because I'm lowered... aftermarket ramps don't work so well and I would spend as much modifying ramps as I would building my own. Total cost: $90
