Default Headlight gear motor fix

Having trouble on the re-install. When I hit the open position, the motors try to close, and when I hit the close position, they want to open. On the headlight motors, when closing the headlights, looking at the manual raise/lower **** as you move the headlight switch to the 'closed' position, they spin clockwise on both motors...is this correct?

Sounds like the "arm" that swings up to open headlight has gone passed the plastic bumpers and is now stuck. Its happened to me several times if you know some one who has a t/a or firebird notice how their arm works when they raise the headlights, then do yours and you'll see what has happend. unscrewing the arm from the motor and restting it in between the two plastic "stoppers" will fix the problem. Kind of hard to explain but you'll see what im talking about.

Well then pull the wires out of the harness and switch them around

OK well the reason why I asked that is it sounds like it is backwards somehow. Sorry I can't help more.
