Default A4 Tranny mount problem???

Hello all, I got a 98 z28 with I think a tranny mount problem. Doesn't look torn from what little i can see and car only has 30k on it. But it seems to buck a little (not a hesitation but shifting hard)when it shifts from gear to gear, then when I go around corners it seems as if rear end is locking up. Heard that this all attributed to bad tranny mount. This true???? Thanks!!

I dont see how a torn tranny mount would cause your rear end to lock up going around corners... Could be your rear end going out.

I agree it sounds weird but in the sticky thread on tranny mount problem it describes when going around turns it seems like the rear end is going in and out. The car has 30 k on it and was owned by my buddies dad that was a retired cop. He never abused it! Believe it or not....So with 30k it might be failing maybe but not due to abuse. I will post an update soon.

30k is low miles but a bad tranny mount could make your car feel like a lot of probs, its an easy and well worth it swap. A polyurathane one is easily ten times better than the rubber stock one.

poly is better for making your car sound and feel like a truck. I hate the ES mount.

Get a stock mount...it goes better with stock rubber engine mounts.
