Kind of a newb question...
I noticed that if I get it through to the top of second gear and then just clutch in, the needle will keep moving up to about 65ish (what I should top out at in 2nd) for about 3/4 of a second. Is this just the speedo being slow? Or is the momentum of the car actually causing it to continue accellerating after putting the clutch in?
Usually I clutch in at about 5900-6000 rpm when I'm doing this and at the instant I hit the clutch the speedo usually says just a shade over 55 (maybe 57-58) and it creeps up to 64-65.
Thanks for dealing with my somewhat stupid question...
Jim
