erased an OBDII code and it never came back!!

erased an OBDII code and it never came back!! heyy guys when i went to the gym today, jus when i was bout to shut my car off the SES light came on, so after the gym i drove to autozone rented the scanner then i looked at the code in the parking lot it said o2 sensor bank 1 sensor 1 so then i jus erased the code tempararly, but when i was driven home no code came back!! so is it fine now?? and also my brother accedently downshifted into 2nd while in 5th going lik 50, tires skid jus a lil bit, but i jus wanna know if everything is ok, no unusual noises or enything. thanks alot guys
My codes would usually come back a day or two after. I belive it takes some sort of cycle for it to be displayed again, not sure how many miles that is. As far as downshithing into second at 50mph..... That should be well under redline so it probably didnt even hit the rev limiter. I wouldnt wory about it
