Phantom gauge problem

Ok, I am a total noob when it comes to this issue. I had a shop install my electric full sweep fuel pressure gauge into my trans am. Just last week the gauge quit working. I still get the light in the gauge but zero movement at all. How do I go about and trouble shoot this problem? I guess I might need a new sender unit, but I want to make sure before I just order it for 100.00.

Do they still zero out when they power up?

The gauge does not move at all, during a start up or shutdown. The light is on the gauge though, buy the needle never ever moves. Hope that helps.

They should zero out when you turn the key on or if you have a switch for it. But since they are not zeroing out there is an electrical problem. Do you know if they soldered the wire or just used crimp connectors? Maybe a fuse blown?
