When I bought my car the cruise didn't work.
Just by looking around under the driver's side dash I noticed a connector unplugged. I plugged it back in and it's good as new!
If it was working before you did the master cylinder, start by looking in all the areas that you have been. Chances are you'll find something unplugged or out of adjustment. For instance, brake light switch can keep cruise from coming on. If your car is a manual, there is a switch on the clutch etc...

Mine is also not working either. When I bought my formy it worked once on the highway then not after that and then it worked another time a few weeks later, now nothing. Any ideas?
