Default Not an Fbody but worth a shot

We have a jeep grand cherokee and today it was running fine then all of a sudden it was like the battery died so i cleaned up the terminals and it was fine so i started the car and it would start but then die, i could keep it running if i gave it gas and above 1000 rpm. Then i reved it pretty high really quick and then it would stay running on it own but would run real sluggish and idle very low. On my way home it died on me again, got it started and got it home. Popped the hood thinking maybe the alternator was dead so while it was running i disconnected the battery and it was running fine. So does anyone have any suggestions on what the problem could be? thanks

Get the battery checked. I've got a Grand Cherokee also and they act really funny when the battery is going bad... I had a similar problem when my battery was going out and it has been fine since I replaced it.

Agreed ^ But in the mean time I would take the terminals off, clean the really well (inside too) and seal them.
