how to replace headlight?
how to replace headlight? I cannot figure out how to remove the headlight on my 99 Z28. I took the bolt out that hold the headlight to the bracket but it will not budge. I cannot figure out what I have to remove to get it out. I thought it was an easy quick swap out but I can't figure it out. Please help.
I am trying to remove the entire assembly. I have done it on many other cars but I can't figure out the bracket and what needs to come off and what needs to stay on the car.
The headlight assembly slides/clips on at the bottom. They are pretty large clips, I think it slides to the left or right (I forget which). I had it easy since my clips are busted so I just remove the bolt and the whole thing falls off 
After the bolt is removed and the connectors are undone, push the headlight assembly back (towards the rear of the car) and then slide it towards the center of the car. There are two sliders on the back of the headlight that hold it tight.
So I do not have to remove the black bracket. I see where the clips are. There is also a couple of holes in this bracket where some of the headlight goes through like screws. That is keeping me from being able to move it side to side. With that bracket on there there isn't much room. I will look at it again to see if I can figure it out.
