Default High Beam Switch

My highbeams dont work on my car. How involved are we talking to replace the switch (no click when I pull back). The switch is only like 30$ or so, and I do enjoy fixing things. Car is a 95z28.

I'm pretty sure it has to do with the rod that actually activates the high beams further down the column by your feet. The issue isn't in the column as I found out the hard way and now if I ever want them to work again it's going to have to go back to the dealer to be pieced back together

What? The switch isn't at the base of the stick in the column? Who designed that... some engineer
