Default will this hurt my car?????

a year ago i did my exhaust and the air pump wasnt hooked back up so i removed the componets i could get to and the relay. ever since it has been throwing a code, AIR relay, so i tried to get my inspection and couldnt (of course) so i went out and bought the relay and have it in there so cancel the code. my question is having this relay in there without having the acual AIR parts hooked up messmy car up?

I still think you're gonna get a different code even with the relay hooked up. The AIR pump will run a short check after warmup - turn on the pump for a second and see if the O2s showed an increase in air. If not it's gonna throw a code for the system not working since it's not hooked up.

you could remove the air pump and it wont hurt the car. You just have to deal with the CEL unless you get it tuned out.
