check you engine oil. if theres a milky residue in it well theres a bad thing going on. but he prolly saw the smoke and thought it was white. sometimes the blue looks white.

Sounds like a leaky head gasket. Check the oil as above and check the coolant for oil.

I agree with this, but there should also be a loss of power too.

Almost sounds like a head gasket although it is strange it only did it on start up. Maybe if you're lucky you caught it right in the very beginning.

Watch your coolant level, if your head gasket ate it, you'll be sucking down coolant. Mine did at least, I pulled it right into the shop and tore it down, not worth destroying an engine over a simple head gasket.

Were you ridding the high RPMs down? Like did you take it up to 6000, left it in gear and just coast? Could be valve seals.

the excess coolant is normal now........guess that was the cloud of smoke that came up...... took it too a mechanic shop they checked it and said nah it was fine........weird.....i told them about the smoke of clouds and they said maybe it just slipped through cuz it was under hard stress.....or cuz it was running lean........they said it was fine though......they said id know if i blew the gaskets.........confused oh and its an automatic.......so computer did all my shifting..........
