halogen backup lights

Default halogen backup lights

Odd question about the backup lights

I pulled these 55 watt halogen bulbs out of my reverse sockets and i cant find replacements....any ideas....or has anyone seen anything like this before....

What type of car is this in? Those are different sockets than my car.

Did you start more than one thread on this?

Anyway, here goes:

You can get 55watt Halogen reverse lights at PepBoys. I have them on my car. I don't remember the brand but it comes in a black and yellow "blister" pack (just like other bulbs) in the bulb isle. They haven't burnt up any wiring either since reverse lights are typically on for only 30 seconds to 1 minute.

Since the stock reverse lights are standard incandescent bulbs and these are halogen...think the difference between the front blinker and headlight. Thats the brightness difference of these.

I bought mine over a year ago. They may not be still available, but I do remember that not all locations had it at the time either.
