SES light, but no codes
I've been told to drive my car until something happens, but I'm flying out of state tomorrow and wont be back until March. So my car has to sit for a while.
I'm just completely lost.. Either the computer is going out or the connector on my car isn't working to give any codes.
Have a safe flight. As for the OBD not working - check the cigarette lighter fuse. It may have blown. I am fairly sure that the OBD port is connected through that fuse.
If the OBD port is inop the SES light will illuminate, but you will not have a code.
Good luck and I hope this is the issue.
P.S. - Easiest way to check is to try to push the lighter in to see if it works or try a 12v small appliance - like cell phone charger. IF it does not work... BINGO - that is the culprit.

Thanks for that.. I knew there was something about that.
And thanks, I hope my flight goes fast... I'm flying with a 1 yr old and I get air sick.. lol.. it sucks...

Yes, God speed to you both on that flight.
