Power Window Problems
We press the switch down and pushed on the glass and it went down maybe halfway after about 5 mins of "tapping/pushing" on it. Once we pressed the switch up it rolled up instantly without any hesitation. I don't think the window is off track or that the glass is rubbing against something but it seems like its not getting the signal to go down. I checked all fuses and looked at the harness for pinched or cut wires and saw nothing wrong. I even tried another set of switches that I had laying around. Could it be the BCM where the wires tie in to under the dash?
The problems you are having sound like the auto shut-off mechanism in the motor is bad. It measures when the window is all the way down/up and then shuts off the motor. When the switch goes bad, the normal force/movement of the mechanism is enough to trip the switch.
AutoZone and some other retailers now sell totally new re-designed motors (which have different-looking motor casings) that are advertised to last longer and resolve the problems with the auto shut-off switch. I don't have any experience with this new design, although I've had a hell of a time with the OEM motors. (None lasted more than 30K miles for me.)
Hopefully you bought your motors locally so you can at least return the one that doesn't work without paying shipping charges.
You will probably have better luck with an exchanged motor. Out of 4 replacement motors I've purchased in the past, two turned out to be defective from the store. (They were re-manufactured.)
