starter grinds when running I have just put a 99 camaro ss ls1 in my 55 chev used a flexplate off a 2000 5.3 truck and starter of the same truck because the engine did not have either, when the engine is running the starter drive is hitting on the flexplate.
is there a difference between the camaro and the truck starters, the dealer lists two different starters so is the difference that the drive on the camaro goes back into the starter more than the trucks.
