Yeah, I am kind of a newb to cars. I change my own oil, but that's about it and all the mods on my car I've done myself. Gotta start somewhere..

hey, real quick bro. since your new to cars, by a haynes or chiltons manual! they work wonders! FWIW i broke a can looking thing on the side of my intake manifold (installing headers), i could not figure out what it was until i broke out the chiltons manual.come to find out that is your evap purge solenoid valve. emissions bs, that will make your car runlike **** if its broke!

these manuals tell you what to do step by step! with regular maint. they are awesome!

good luck buddy!!!

I just jacked my car up to change my coolant, but where exactly is the drain plug? I see something on the passenger side. Do I twist it or what?

lol, sounds like you got things figured out. Just remember after you're done filling the cooling system that there will be air in the system until it is either bled or ran its coarse through. In either case, just make sure you take some coolant with you the first few times you drive, and fill as needed (just again be sure to wait till it cools before you add the coolant). Personally, I just start the car and let it warm up at idle and add coolant as it goes down, until its stops going down.

yep carry some coolent around with you for the couple of test drives, so that the air can exscape from the lines!
