LOL....Yea I test drove a Z06 with 13,000 miles and it had the LS1 racket....I was like screw this...but knowing what I know now, I wouldnt of freaked out.

Sounds kinda like what I had which was just a broken stock rocker arm. Easiest thing to do is just pull your valve covers and check your rockers and pushrods. Or just change your oil and see if there are any needle bearings on the end of your oil plug (if it's magnetic).

well say he has a bad lifter. what would happen if he does nothing about it. cuz mine sounds exactly like that, just not as loud. i plan on seafoaming it very soon. i just dont want to do any permanent damage if i dont change the lifters.

thanks for the info. if the seafoam doesnt work, which i pray it does, then it looks like i will be getting some new lifters and tearing my baby apart...again.

My car has made that sound the entire time I've owned it. It gets a little louder right after I change the oil, but it goes back to a normal tick tick tick after like 10 miles. I've never noticed any problems so I consider it normal now. Freaks the ford guys out though, they're not sued to weird noises.

My car has no ticking issues, only noise you should hear on a stock healthy ls1 is piston slap

Same noise here. Pulled the valve cover off and found it to be the number 1 piston on the exhaust side. Little if any oil was coming out of the pushrod. Pulled the rocker arm and checked everything out. Nothing was stopped up so the only thing left is that the lifter is bad. Pretty shitty on a 22,000 mile T/A. Well I'm a mechanic so any questions just send them my way and I'll tell you all I know haha.
