Dang. I'm trying to help the guy and you just want to state what did not work for you. He specifically asked 'theres also an idler pulley down by the AC tensioner right?' and I answered yes. I then went on to state a possible solution. I am now FULLY aware it did not help you but MAYBE it can help him.
What have you done for a solution? Perhaps you can help us?

My Dad's corvette also has a squeak. It has been driving him crazy he's changed four belts some pullies and regarless of what belt he removes there is a squeak. When the're both off there is no squeak so Im guessing it's the balancer and that looks like a difficult job.

Well I took off the serpentine belt and cranked it up for a second and still have the squeak... So Obviously its one of the two pulleys on the AC system

I took it apart and rotated the two bushings 90 degrees, they only wear on one side. Also greased them.
It runs straight and keeps the belt aligned.
I wanted to put some miles on it before it put this on here.

I just replaced my waterpump, could there have been some manufacturing issue w/ the pump and where the tensioner bolts up?
I tried replacing idler and tensioner pulleys squeak is still there. New Waterpump. New alternator(overddrive pulley). I had to get a 1 1/2" shorter belt for the overddrive, now there is more tension on the tensioner then before.
Taking main ACC belt off, no squeal, so not any of the A/C belt components. Squeak is loud when cold or haven't been run in awhile, and quiets down after running for awhile, but never goes away. Gets louder at higher RPMs

I have the same squeek and had a new motor dropped in and it still squeeks...the only part off the old motor was the waterpump and oil pan (new A/C compressor) So waterpump is what I would say. My squeek continues sometimes after the car is shut off and belt is no longer spinning so has to be the" thingy" in the pump.

Your squeak is probably one of the fan motors.

Could even been the ac compressor itself, you said that turning the a/c on and off makes it change the sound. I've had two LS1 Trans Ams and the they both squeaked when I bought them till I replaced the idler bearing in the ac compressor itself. The bearing allows the pully to spin even if the a/c is switched off and is activated using magnets. I've found as the bearing wears the magnetic plates move closer together and scuff/squeal.
