Default Went in for a check-up...

So I just got my new baby a couple weeks ago and I took her in to get looked at with one of my buddies. Turns out everything on the car is pretty much original. I.E. the fuel filter, plugs and wires and everything was all the original GM factory, never changed any of it. Is this completely unusual for a 100k car or am I just over obsessing it?

Also, does anyone know of anything else I should check out on it if that's the case?

Mine had original plugs, wires, fuel filter, rotors, rear pads, even the battery (which I just recently found out since it died 2 days ago) when I got it with almost 105K. I'd definitely change the plugs, wires, filters as they could use it by now (my plugs were crispy critters).

Yea definitely got the fuel lines and filter changed out along with the oil changed and oil filter. I'm changed the plugs and wires out tomorrow. The shop I was at wanted to charge 200 to change them out! I politely said screw that! I'm sure it'll be a pain but I would much rather take the time and do that myself...

for sure man, once you get all the fluids, filters, plugs, and wires changed it will awaken the car from its deep sleep. and if all that is original you might want to check into replacing the coolant, tranny fluid, and rear end fluid.

I did check the coolant, that was ok. But I heard that with the trans fluid, if it hasn't been changed within the first 30k miles that you shouldn't change it ever...is that true??

Check your PCV valve. If it hasn't been changed, its definitely shot.
