I have no personal experience with the spec1. I have the spec 3 and I can tell you if you can shell out a little extra cash it is worth it. It works great on stock HP and can take a decent amount of HP once/if you decide to start bolting on the go fast parts.

spec 3 is a pos when it comes to putting some miles on it. Mine went out with just over 6k miles on it, looked like hammered crap when i took it out. Do some searches on it, most of what you find will be that they hold like a **** but usually go out before 10 grand can be put on it. Oh and my car only make 393 at the wheels.

we have installed several spec 3+ with no problems, hell, our shop car has one and it was broken in with 6000rpm launches. My guess is there are some other factors there that may have caused it to crap out. Would like to hear about it though.

i had a spec 3 but it didnt work out because the flywheel got warped when it was resurfaced.

but now i have a spec 1 on a new stock flywheel. I just passed the 1000mi mark the other day. The break-in period sucks, but the clutch can now see some abuse now. It drives like a stock clutch, but can probably handle much more abuse. Even though its not stock, I wouldnt recommend it if you go to the track every week.
