Question NO OIL Pressure

Yesterday i was going over to my friends house and i noticed my oil pressure was running lower than normal but i did not pay much attention to it. Once i got to my friend house we went out for a drive. I was not getting on the throttle alot but i still noticed the oil pressure was low. about half way in to the drive like 6-8 mins in the oil pressure started to get lower at idle like at 15-20 i was worried at this point so i started driving home when i accelerated the pressure did go back up. and on the way in to my neighbor hood the oil pressure dropped all the way down to 0 and my check gauge light came on. I drove in to the garage with 0 oil pressure and then shut the engine off. i did hear a little noise coming form the front of the car in the engine. What is the problem i think the oil pump is shot if there is no oil pressure but im not 100% sure????????

How hard is it to do an oil pump? Mine is starting to do the same stuff. It's a 99.
