Low Coolant Light

Low Coolant Light Well, after 10 years I now have the infamous low coolant light staying on all the time in my '98 SS. My fluid level is completely full and it looks like I might have a bad sensor. Even though I have serached on this forum I am looking for a part number for this sensor. I noticed this sensor is located about 5 or 6inches down from where I fill my radiator and it is a clip-on type sensor.
I've heard of people just unplugging it but I would rather replace it if I can. Any part numbers floating around out there?

GM list is about $60 now so I'd stay away from the dealership.

I called several area auto parts stores and they all are quoting me $58 or more for this sensor...
I'm going to take the advice and pull it out and clean it to see if that works.

I think it can be a chain of events...first, the radiator cap stops holding pressure, then the wonderful dex-cool turns to sludge since it has contact with oxygen, then your sensor gets sludge all over it and doesnt work anymore. At least that's how mine went down.
I switched from dexcool and put a new sensor in, within 6 months it started having problems again.
I bought another but may try to clean this one before putting in the new one
