Newbie fuel filter question Decided to change my fuel filter today. I've done it in other cars but first time in this one. Purchased it about 3 years ago but I've only put on about 12k miles. Anyway I noticed my original oil filter wasn't threaded on completely (though it was tight) however I'm wondering if I should be worried about my new one for any reason.
I know I didn't cross-thread it but this is as far as I could get it to thread down. This is a Purolator fuel filter.

Looks ok to me. Make sure to put some anti-sieze on the threads if you run through rain or snow. Cycle the key and see if it starts to leak. If nothing, start her up and double check. You should be fine... I have never seen a car that you use all the threads up. Just make sure it's nice and snug.

Awesome, thanks for the replys. Yeah it's not leaking and I live in SD so snow shouldn't be an issue. Just didn't want it coming undone while I'm going 80 on the freeway, that could suck a big one.
