Problem with the ASR

Problem with the ASR Hey everyone, had my Camaro out tonight for the first time in about 6 months tonight and I went out and stood on it a couple of times and then noticed after I re started the car that my ASR on the gauge panel was already showing "ASR Off" the light on the switch was also out....It blinks when it first starts but then after running for a few seconds it goes out. The car only has 10K miles on it and I was just wondering if running it hard gears 1-3 might have jarred something under the car? It did wheel hop quite a bit. I am not familiar with the ASR so much and am just wondering if any of you have had the same problem....its stuck in off position which is a good thing I guess :-), but I would just like to know if any of you have any ideas? I recently just changed shifters to the Pro 5.0 shifter and SLP airbox, and smooth bellow, didnt think that would make a difference but just throwin it out there in case....the car is a 2002 by the way....thanks in advance for any help!

When mine did this is was due to the battery going bad. It would still crank, but the first sign in my case was the ASR light staying on and going off. Replaced the battery and no more light (mine would come on and go out during this period though)
