reason for super slow trap speed... hey guys, i went to the track tonight (unplanned) and unfortunately had 91 octane in my tank. and my trap speed was 100mph
when it used to be 108 mph untuned with less mods. please tell me this was because of the gas and my car not liking it and pulling timing out...

91 or 94 octane didn't make too much of a difference in trap speeds for my car, if it pulls timing, something is way off with your tune or the gas is bad. You'll hear pinging at WOT if it's that bad to pull timing.
I'd go with slipping clutch. It's really deceptive in the early stages. You feel something is wrong, but can't pinpoint it. I noticed that at WOT in 1st or 2nd gear it felt like I was slipping, but at the same time I was fighting to keep the car straight while the RPM tended to shoot up quick that you couldn't tell.
It wasn't until it happened in 3rd gear too that I finally could see what was happening while feeling it. The RPM would go up steadily, but the speedo would go up in bursts. Both should increase more or less relative to each other.

thanks guys.
this was my first time to the track since i put in the adj. master. cyl. maybe i need to adjust it. hopefully that will solve any slipping clutch problem

well i adjusted my master cylinder but to no prevail. guess i will be needing a clutch soon...ugh.
ALSO, my car shut off (just a split second) and came back on while going down the track. once right off the line. then on a different run in 2nd gear. WTF?!
ideas?
