car wont start

car wont start i have a 2000 firebird and i was driving home the other day and the security light on the dash was coming on, somtimes it stayed on sometimes it blinked.
so the next day i came outside to discover somone keyed my car deep
then to make it worse the car wont turnover, all the lights on the dash are on everything has power i checked the battery the cables the fuses but everything checks out. i pushed it jumped in threw it in gear and it started and ran fine. so i was wondering is the security light have somthing to do with keeping it from turning over?
