bad cats
bad cats so yeah basically my cats just took a ****, i have slp longtube headers, slp cats and y pipe with CME, and today i got both codes saying the cats are bad, what would casue this at only 37,000?
If you have longtube headers and no tuning, its more than likely that your rear o2's are not functioning properly, does your car seem to have a loss in power? does the exhaust in front of the cats get glowing hot? If not, then the cats arnt blocked.

Because if that is the codes you are getting, the cats are probably not bad, espicially because it said both are bad, the thing is some high flow cats flow so well because they don't filter the exhaust as much, so in turn your rear o2's are seeing less o2 than they would with the stock cats.
Just tune the rears out, you don't need them anyway...
