Default Engine ticking

I changed my plugs a week or two ago and the other day I noticed my engine was ticking and my gas mileage went to **** for one day and then came back. I don't get why it did that and came back.

I assumed it was the AIR gaskets, so I changed them. But the ticking is still there. I torqued the bolts to 15 ft.lbs.

You can hear it from the top, but you can really hear it good under the car. What else could it be?

It is very likely a spark plug is not tightened down all the way. Check the plugs.

Yeah could be a loose plug or plug wire, make sure your wire boots are snapped in all the way.
