Default Security light flashing

i know yall get alot of post when this, but what really cause the security light to flash. 1 min driving the car perfect next min the light is flashing. i tried every from disconnecting the battery to leaveing the key on like 10 mins everything. i know what the probelm is it the key tumbler and them lil orange wires break ok i got that. but what really makes them break. old age ,to many thing on key ring,stress from heat what causes them lil wires to break?second time different cars i dunno is it me or what them darn f-body make my head bad lol

Age, heat, humidity, and non-homogeneous material all contribute to wire degradation. Try cleaning the contacts on your key and in the ignition switch before you do anything. If that doesn't fix it you can always wire up a resistor instead of the ignition switch.
