Default Need help identifying part under hood.

As some may remember, I have been having trouble with my throttle and idle lately. Well today there is a new 'clicking' that has developed. With my key turned to accessory in the ignition, I have a very audible click coming from underneath my hood. As I looked closer, it is coming from the contraption located directly behind the battery that your throttle cable is connected through. I removed the cover and can actively see the gizmo ratcheting back and ever so slightly tugging on the throttle cable.

So my questions are, what it this thing?

Can I replace it myself if need be?

I'm hoping this is the cause of my problems but I was having idle/throttle issues before this click started...

Appreciate any help!

It's your traction control unit. If you need to replace it, it's pretty straight forward. Just swap the cables/unit out.
