Broken Studs Last night, while attempting to remove my factory Y pipe, I broke on of the studs... A) How do I get the broken one out? B) Where do I find replacements? c) Should I expect the rest to break as well? I did apply a bunch of WD40 to the other studs...
use a bunch of lube! and then for the broken ones, i drilled them out and then i put in a bolt that was long enough on the other end then i used a lock washer and a nut to put it back together
A drill to get the old stud out. Second you could get them at a dealership or call your local auto part store. I ahve alway had good luck with O'reillys
Thrid WD-40 is a lubricate. The stud are probally have a little bit of rust on them, so you need to find a rust penitating type solvant to free up the rust inside the nut and stud. I want to say the stuff is called rust penitarting lubricant.

I'm not sure if WD40 is the same stuff as Deep Creep or Liquid Wrench but I've used both of them and they really make things come apart easier. As for the bolts, if you can't get vice grips on them I'd just drill them out and replace them with nice new bolts and nuts.
