Power Steering Flush How To?

you basically disconnect the low pressure return line to the pump (regular rubber hose) and put that into a bucket. Start the engine, and keep topping off the level of fluid in the reservoir with new fluid. Turn steering wheel lock to lock a couple times too. That's it.
Or you could use the turkey baster method. Take some out, put some new stuff in. Much simpler, but takes more fluid and longer time.

I purchased a suction pump at my local marine supply store. I got it 4-5 years ago, and I don't feel like walking all the way out to the garage, to check, however I seem to recall that the brand name is "Tempo". I've seen the exact same pump in the Griot's Garage catalog, but there it's $10-15 more.
Anyway, this thing holds 5-6 quarts of fluid, so you can suck out master cylinders, when you're flushing your brake system, suck 3-4 quarts of ATF up the dipstick tube before you drop the pan, so you don't get such a mess when you service your automatic tranny, and finally....suck the power steering fluid from the reservoir.
Do this with the front wheels off the ground, refill the reservoir, start the engine and turn the wheel lock to lock 2-3 times, stop the engine, suck out the fluid, refill, and repeat a couple more times.

I've been using this for years on diff fluid changes, clutch fluid and all my lawn mower oil.
