Default Front turn signal question

I have keep going through bulbs and melting sockets as most people do. I searched and found that some people purchased the new socket from autozone. I called 3 different auto zones that are near me and not one says they even carry them. I looked at there website and found out they have some universal ones but im not sure witch one I need. Anyone got a part number or no witch one I need? Here's the link. http://www.autozone.com/N,100866/sho...iesResults.htm Thanks.

i just replaced both sockets and lense housing this week!!
go to ws6store, they have the sockets you want
also, check your lenses for cracks??? if they are cracked you want to replace them too.
reason for this, in wet weather, moisture gets in and your sockets corrode and there you have your problems..

Hey thanks man, I went to autozone and despite what they all said they had them there. They are universal ones that are made for GM vehicles and there like 10 bucks.

Well I had it on a lift at my buddys shop. Theres 2 bolts under the front of the car with a little hatch that you can pull down to access the bulb. You then just push the tab in on the harness and turn it and it comes right out. Then you take the new harness and do one wire at a time so you dont get mixed up (theres 3 wires). I soderd them followed by shrink tubeing and then also wrapped it with electricle tap. After doing all 3 wires wrap them together with electricle tap once more but all together as one bunch. Then before you put the bulb in the new socket put a lot of dieletic grease in the socket. Put the bulb in and then once again grab the grease and fill all the holes of the socket with it till they ooze out. Try not to get it on the bulb but it you do its no biggy. Then you just take the socket and put it back up and twist to get it back in. Then check your work before you put the screws in under the car. I hope this works for a while now. Im gonna drill a small hole today in each lens. I heard that it drains the water that gets trapped inside. If you dont have access to a lift then Jack it up real high and put some jack stands under it. You just need it high enough to reach up to the lens from under the car. Also becarefull when your sodering because your doing it upside down and it can drip on you. "Ask me how I know" Good luck!
