Security light stays on!

Security light stays on! The Security light on my Dash just stays on but everything works fine keyless entry the alarm ect. any input on what it is would be helpfull! Thanks in advance!

your vats system is probably about to take a dumb on you , clean the contacts on your key if that does not work then what ever contacts the chip inside the column has been worn down over time. sucks cost me 700 bills to replace my vats but that was at the dealer
