electrical gurus in here!!! ok i have been having poblems with my headlights since i bought the car a few years ago. i recently installed a new motor on the drivers side. now the passanger side was having a problem opening and closing so i decieded to hardwire it to bypass the plug, but since i bypassed the pluged and hardwired it i cannot get any power to the motor. when i turn the lights on the lights turn on the headlight stays down but the light comes on, the drivers side works perfect. so my question to you is what could cause this to happen? what should i look for? how can i fix it?

What year U talking about? Let me know and I'll pull a wiring diagram and see if anything pop out at me. When did the problem start? Just as soon as you did the hardwire? If so, you propably got some wires crossed. Or did the problem take some time to show up? Then most likely, you have a bad connection. Did you use crimp terminals or solder the wires?
its for a 99 trans am, it started right when i connected the power wires for the motor, when i connected the wires the motor ran and would not stop so i thought that it was just looking for the arm to catch on the stopers. well i put everything back on then connected the wires it worked but when i turned the lights off they would go down but then like ten seconds later it would pop back up. then we tried it again and nothing.
as far as the wires being crossed up the motor only has two wires a power and a ground ground is always black.
