Window motor questions
Step 1
remove the motor
Step 2
take the plug off of the top of the motor and pour out any water ( mine was almost full)
Step 3
take a blow dryer and point it towards the now open hole where the plug goes and let the blow dryer blow on it for a few minutes make sure the air comin out is hot (I did for 10 mins) (this eliminates any moisture left in the motor)
Step 5 put the plug back on and with the motor in your hand plug it up and test it, try squeezing the drive gear with your hand to add a little resistance
Step 6
if it works ok take some black magic gasket maker (yes I used it on mine) or some other sealant and apply around the plug in the motor in any spot except the on metal prongs but around the base isn't a bad idea.
(this helps to prevent moisture from entering the motor)
Step 7 take a very small drill bit and drill two holes in the motor casing
one where the very bottom of the motor is when the motor is mounted (so any water that comes in will drain and one more slightly higher to allow air to help the water come out faster)
Even if you buy a new motor I would do this before I install the motor to help preserve the life of it
