Low Oil? Or What?
Low Oil? Or What? Haven't drivin' her in about a week. i work 70 hours a week and don't have a whole lot of time to drive her right now. But when i started her up the low oil light came on. so i shut if off and waited about 20 minutes, while i washed her. After that i checked the oil and the dip stick looked like it was about an 1/8th inch away from the add oil line. Just wondering what the deal is. I see no leaks, could it be that she just burns a little oil here and there or do i have a leak someplace? I am about half way between oil changes. The oil is kinda dirty but really doesn't smell burnt or nothing.
I took her to the track during memorial weekend and did typical burnouts and stuff. Nothing real crazy. She has 71k on her right now. Only used Mobil 1 oil every 3k.
Also, should i just add a quart of oil? the only thing is i don't know if they used 5-30 or 10-30. would it hurt if i mixed them? and what do you guys use when oil changing?
any suggestions??

they just don't work great when they get a few years old, its hit or miss. I'd say at your next oil change don't just change the oil. Get two cans of engine flush, drain 2 quarts of old oil out, add the 2 quarts of engine flush and let it run (IDLE only) for about 10 minutes. That should clean the sensor as well as the entire engine.

If the connector/wiring looks OK you could just replace the sensor next oil change. Just screws into the side of the pan and according to gmparts direct GM list for PN 12603782 (verify) is only $22.
