Default Speedometer Stuck

The battery in my car died, and the gauges swept when I turned the key to accessory. I didnt really worry about it until I charged the battery and started the car and the speedometer didnt return. It is resting on the center hump past the battery meter and won't move.

Any suggestions?

You'll have to pull the dash and flip the needle back where it belongs.

I can see it now...

Officer: Do you know how fast you were going?
ME: Actually, not a clue. I was really hoping 170 wasn't right.

Ha - The speedo is essentially sitting on the center (round) part where the steering is. So...180+ mph? Try again.

Half way of what? I keep saying it is completely swept past the battery meter - resting on the center plastic. Picture where the speedometer would be if you were to peg it out at 150. Then go where another 30 mph would be.

You have to take the cluster completely out of the dash and then flip it up side down until the needles fall back in to their correct placements and re-engage the internal electromagnets.
