Headlight/Electrical issues need help ASAP!
2. My right front turn signal keeps going through bulbs. This is due to corrosion in the socket caused by water entering through a cracked lens. So I cleaned it out as best as I could, and loaded the socket with dialectric grease. The bulb worked fine for a few months, but both of my turn signals on both sides would blink in an erratic manner. Then the bulb went out, and the interior turn signal indicator for the right side came on and stayed lit. This happened the same day as my headlight issue. My left turn signal still blinks all crazy, and of course thr right one doesn't work at all.
So I am wondering, are these issues caused by the same problem, or are they seperate problems? I did a search, but only found stripped gear issues. I have the brass gears to fix the headlight motors, but haven't got around to it because of the weather, the time ivolved, and my headlights still worked fine otherwise. I am all discombobulated here with all of these issues, and really need to know what to do to fix it. I know that I need a new turn signal socket, and that I need to switch the gears out, but what else could be causing this new stuff? Please help!
