NEED HELP ASAP!!!!!!!!!!!! car is freaking out
NEED HELP ASAP!!!!!!!!!!!! car is freaking out ok so i have a 98 trans am M6 and over the past week we were out of town so the car was sitting in the garage....well i got home and the car was dead so i jumped it off after 10 mins of fighting with it it finally started but the car immediately revved itself to about 2300 rpms and stayed there for about a minute then it went to 3000 for alike 5 seconds and back down to 2300 and stayed there so i cut it off after about 2 mins of this
whats going on? is the car trying to charge the battery? and how is it getting more air? without me opening the throttle body i figured if it went to 3000 on fuel only it would have probably bogged down but it was as if i was revving it up but i wasn't.....?
what should i do??? need help asap as this is my daily driver.....hell it only has 60,000 miles WTF?
is it revving this high cause the battery is shot and the pcm is keeping it revved high so it's running of the alternator??? i don't know whats going on....please help

only way to get more air into the intake without the TB opening is if the IAC valve is sticking and not closing all the way. But its normal for an engine to rev a little when the battery has died. You should deep charge it over night to do it properly. Or use cables and let the battery charge for about 20 minutes before trying to start it. You should also go ahead and totally disconnect the positive battery cable for 30 minutes to let the PCM reset itself.
