loud noise on startup
Pacesetter LT's, Custom built 3" Y with flowmaster merge, Hooker CB.
Built new y pipe with prothane mounts, took the prothane tranny mount and replaced it with a rubber one, the pipe started to bang.
Had the exhaust adjusted, and now it does not bang, but i do hear a weird noise underneath the floorboard on the passanger side.
When the car is cold and has not been driven for a little while, when i start up it really bad, but it goes away after a few minutes. You can hear it just as good from outside the car.
I thought it was the prothane tranny mount at first, but its still there after swapping to rubber.
Its audible when im at a stop and slowly releasing the clutch or while im reving down around 1100 rpms.
But its worst and most loud when the car is warming up after startup.
The car had a lot of noise coming from the rear catback(hooker) but after the adjustments, the squeaks and noises went away, but i still hear a faint rattle when the car is travelling or idling around 1100 rpms. Also audible from outside the car.
What can this be? i will try to get an audio clip later on.Thanks
