throttle body gasket question

Exclamation throttle body gasket question

So i took off the air intake throttle body and theirs a gasket between that and the plenum. can i just use rtv gasket maker or do i need a new gasket? I dont want to get a new gasket yet because im going to take it all apart soon, so that why im asking this dumb question.

I wouldn't do it with RTV. Is the gasket torn? If you didnt tear the gasket I would try to reuse it. After you get it all bolted back together spray throttle body cleaner or brake cleaner around where the throttle body mounts to the intake. If the engine stays running a constant speed, your good to go.

ls1 dont have a throttle body gasket. there is a orange seal pressed into the intake manifold that is your throttle body gasket. you should never have to replace it unless you **** it up

i took it off to see if it was dirty and the gasket is a little messed up but not from me it just came off that way.
