steering column malfunctioning

steering column malfunctioning So tonight I went to crank the car, it turned on then shut right back off and all the dash lights were off. I did it a few times...same thing. Took out the key, then put it back in and it started fine.
Drove my buddy home and went to drive home, and the car just shut the heck off! It's like the keying mechanism in the steering column has been rotated. I ended up having to drive the car home, holding the key cocked just a bit to keep the car on.
WTF!!! I just got the car tuned and everything fixed...NOW THIS...AHHH!!!
