Dead Windows
Hey Guys, Im new to this Trans Am ownership. Just stepped up from Imports. I bought a 98 WS6 and both windows are dead! What should I check first? People have told me not to waste time and go straight for the window motors, Is this a safe bet? Thanks for the help!

THANKS FOR REPLIES. I posted this on the wrong forum orig. and it got moved. the windows are in the full up position and nothing happens when using any switch. I bought it like this and knew was not working. I can hear a little bit of electrical noise when putting switches in down position. dude I got the car from says that one day there was nothing, out of the blue. Car has 110K miles and have no history. Even worse, no A/C !
I know you are all thinking i bought a POS but it is in real good shape otherwise and i got it for a steal. Even trade for a 2000 F-150 with 160K miles and some mechanical problems. What do yall think?

...did you say you were stepping up or stepping down after owning a quality foreign car?
...anyway, welcome to GM. You didn't want windows that roll up and roll down did you?
I've replaced 2 sets so far in 68K miles....
...take notes when you replace your window motors since you will likely do this often.
