I have never had a problem with this one, and you could probably find this or a similar one at any autoparts store.

you use it with a ratchet so u get more leverage.

Thanks for the link. However it is FAR too late. I demolished the filter and only the top lift is left. I have to take it to a shop to see if they can get it to budge or replace the oil pan...DAMN.

Was the old filter a Puralator? I had one of those once on my DD and I could crush that thing with my hand the metal walls were so thin... good luck

Can't you get in there with a medium pry bar at least?

Taking it to the shop will not result in anything better than what you can do your self.

Well, your walet will be lighter which will make the car faster.

i finally had luck with a strap style ratchet tool and that did the trick

its a b####, i know, but keep at it

Love that pic!!!

Yeah, the more you destroy it the harder it becomes to remove... Once it gave just a bit of trouble, you should have used a big set of pliers and mangled it WHILE it loosened.

Dealers man... I ******* HATE how they tighten those goddam oil filters... Sons of bitches.

K&N Oil Filters ROCK... I don't actually know how good they are, but I run K&N's only because of the protruding nut they have!
