Default ***HELP*** headlights cycle backwards

I just finished reassembling everything form doing the headlight gear swap. When I reconnected everything and then tried to test the headlights they worked backwards. when i turn the switch on the headlights cycle down and when i turn them off they cycle up.

ok i figured it out and I feel like a dumbass. Just in case this gets archived I had the linkage installed backwards. I'll take a couple pics of how it should look and how I had it. Hopefully no one else will have this problem now.

What happened to me was one headlight would go up while the other went down. It was the funniest thing to see.

i had them both on wrong so it was just pissing me off. But i could see how that would be pretty funny. I'm more glad to know that I'm not the only one who has done this. Makes me feel a little less like a moron

Me too!

Seriously though, how many popup headlights have you ever repaired?* None myself before getting my T/A. So my point is that it was a total learning curve for the both of us.

*That's what I told myself at the time to feel like less of a moron.

very true. It would have helped to pay a little more attention to how it was assembled when I had started though!
