Default Head bolt question

Changing my cylinder heads and I want to know if it's necessary to use new head cylinder bolts or if you can reuse the old one's. I know with the balancer bolt you need to use one every time you take it off secondary to it torqueing to yeild, is this the same for the head bolts?

This is a strange question because I have reused them (head bolts and balancer) before with good sucess; over 50K miles after reuse. I think the keys were that it wasn't a super high hp motor, the motor was new when I took the heads off and reused the bolts.

What you are risking is the bolt has been elongated and will bottom out in the block. If you can verify this is impossible you could take the risk of reusing them. For 100 dollars at the dealer you could guarantee to never have an issue with them.
